I have to say this article was really informative for me as I have been thinking about a) buying an ipod b) how I would go about downloading music and c) how much it would cost. You basically convinced me that it's not worth it in the end, and you reminded me that it is important to own one's music. With my life constantly being on the go, I feel compelled to digitalize myself, but with these words in mind, I find myself saying, "Is it worth it?" It was streaming music, full songs, for a monthly fee of 9.95. You could download the music (I think for .99) to your harddrive, iPod, or whatever. The only problem I had was that the interface was (it may have changed) very graphics heavy. Personally, I don't have room to download music, but streaming radio/music is great.
