I'm reading Stephen King's Bag of Bones right now. He's really slung out some obscure musicians in it. I'm trying to think if I've come across Lisey's Story and don't think I have, yet. I really enjoy King and you're right about getting lost. Do you think he does that on purpose?

I have no idea how to answer that question, although I admit that I am not 100% convinced that the current situation is the solution. I think it needs to happen, but how? That is much harder. The Persian Gulf area, like the Balkans, has been a site of upheaval on several occasions throughout history, and that upheaval then seems to spread - particularly in these days of the global economy.
