This Sunday, ESPN will be celebrating it’s 30,000th episode of Sportscenter. Wow, that’s a lot of shows. Well done Sportscenter.

Back in the early years, Sportcenter wasn’t very slick and that was part of the charm. For years it was part of my late night, after the gig routine.

As the show grew in popularity, athletes started to do more hot- dogging. So, for better or worse, it had an impact.

It seems kind of popular to beat up on Chris Berman these days but I have always appreciated his humor.
