We have 2 rooms so we crank the therm up to 70 for about an hour to get 'em warm then down to 60 or less for the evening and during the day. I havent flown in 2 years but Im sure theres more I can do to counteract the 100 mile round trip I make six days a week for work and At an average of 2.89 to 3.00 a gallon for in our part of California thats two reasons for me to buy a hybrid. We have natural gas, forced air and the gas company very nicely raised the gas rates right before winter. I keep more lights on in the evening since I'm a night owl and am alone at night. I don't know if it discourages intruders, but it makes me feel better. I have to ask if you saw the video that was played behind Melissa Etheridge at the Oscars.
