As I write, the effort to retrieve bodies from the I-35 bridge collapse in Minneapolis is ongoing.

Looking at the news stories and listening to the radio this afternoon the finger pointing and faultfinding are well under way too.

It seems as if reacting to a tragedy in an uncivilized manner is widely accepted.

There is absolutely no way to know what the status of every square inch of concrete, every piece of steel, every rivet and every weld was before the collapse. I don’t care what bureaucratic source you wish to cite, that information is not there.

While divers are still searching, while people do not the whereabouts of their loved ones, if you are running around saying this person or this group is responsible then, you are without common sense or decency.
