Wow!! The "Trouble Ain't Over" album for only $8.99. Single tracks are only $0.99. I paid more than that for a copy of "Macho Man" by The Village People and that was way back in 1979! $0.99 What a bargain! Try 'em all!!

Right now, I’m a New Year’s grouch.

No resolutions.

No predictions.

No black eyed peas.

No “Auld Lang Syne”. Although, I’m sure we’ll have the obligatory; “Does anybody know the words, write ‘em down for me”, episode between sets three and four tonight.

Let’s get it over with. Move on to the next thing, which is really the same thing.

Lift a glass; Here’s to getting back to business as usual.

Macks Creek Band 2007 DVD

Posted by Pribek on 29 Dec 2007 | Tagged as: Music

This is cool. I heard a rumor about this from a St. Louis guy a couple of weeks ago.

The Macks Creek Band were legendary in my area when I was growing up. Years later, I took guitar lessons from Ron Roskowske. More years later, I had the pleasure of playing some gigs with Ron and also the excellent drummer/singer, Bob Klaeger.

The band developed quite a following in the 70’s, they were known for ferocious live shows. Ron and Terry Midkiff are soulful guitar players, as good as you’ll see anywhere. To this day, every once in a while, I will be playing a gig somewhere and meet somebody from the St. Louis area who is a rabid Macks Creek fan.

The guys did a reunion gig this summer and have released a DVD of the show. Here is a preview.

To purchase the DVD ($20 +$3 shipping) contact Grinning Bear Studios at grinnbear@ktis.net

Good going Ron & Bob, it’s good to see and hear you.
