I just returned from my walk. It is a partially overcast, yet very balmy (58 degrees) late afternoon in the Ozarks.

As I write, it is starting to rain. The forecast says it’s going to cool down fast and then we will have a wintry mix.
When I hear the term wintry mix, I have a mental image of a festive bowl of chocolate covered nuts and assorted candies to be served at a Christmas party, where everyone laughs gaily in their brightly colored sweaters and drinks hot cider.
Ahh.. ’tis but fantasy. The real wintry mix goes something like this…
…or worse.
And tonight it comes just in time for the gig.
But as we all know, neither rain sleet or snow will keep the humble musician from his appointed gig.

Aw shucks, you must know Leroy from the Fleetwood Mobile Estates and Hog Farm. I thought he was bullshittin’ when he said he knew everyone.
…or drunk. =OP
Ahhh, the Wintry Mix I have no love lost for. The Chocolate memory of such brings a lump to my eye and a tear to my throat.

Well Margaret, I may know Leroy, I may not. I’m not at liberty to say. What I can say is that my trailer park connections run deep, very deep.
Let’s just leave it at this-you know, that I know, that you know Leroy.
In my opinion; we have cleared the air and we need never speak of this incident again.
