Gig News

I promised Mark that I would get on these gig announcements. I guess that was my New Year’s resolution.

First off, the band is called Thirst n’ Howl.

Tom Hobson-keys/vocals

This is a band that has been together for quite a while in the Springfield/Branson area. Our song list contains a mixed bag of bona fide, party music that you should be well familiar with.

I’ve mostly been playing catch-up; learning stuff that the band has already been performing. I can tell that it’s going to be a lot of fun because, everybody sings and plays well and they all put a lot of work into making it work as a team.

Bands, when they have a new member, tend to develop in some unique ways. The first couple of gigs are usually fun because, well…it’s almost like a boxing match where the fighters are sizing each other up in the early rounds. There is a little bit of pulling your punches but, some “look what I can do-didn’t know that did ya’?” going on too.
