Hmmm...That is an interesting thought there Ovidiu. I am assuming that you are using "branded" in a marketing sense. And, if so, you would be correct. Keith Richards as a brand is probably a more recognized and familiar brand name, across a wider spectrum of demographics, than just about any other guitar player. Who else would be in the same league; Jimmy Page, Slash? Hendrix, Stevie Ray of course.

What is interesting to me is, Kieth was able to reach this icon status by really being a consummate rhythm section player. Any of these guys-if you see a picture of them-instant recognition. So, there is a visual image at work that includes, among other things, fashion. Also, all of these guys can really play. But Keith, his approach is more about coming up with a part that supports the song. All these other guys are big-time lead guitar guys.

So, when you see Keith in a Johnny Depp movie or even, when you see somebody doing a Keith parody, slurred speech-stumbling around, you instantly recognize the brand. And, all of that is possible because the guy was savvy enough to play the right guitar parts for 100 songs that also have the instant recognition factor.
