Man, I used to be tough but, I’ve turned in to a sentimental softy. I miss my band, you know?
Not just the playing music part either-the hang.

Good thing, Thirst N’ Howl will be bringing the Party Rock back to the Outback Pub this Friday and Saturday
night.

Good food good music-good hang.

By the way, I gave my first couple of guitar lessons tonight. It went well. It was fun. The first guy showed up with a bass instead of a guitar, which threw me for a brief moment (I had a guy who showed up with a clarinet years ago) but, it’s all good. We can always use another good bass player in this world.

  1. Great, Jack! So you started teaching him how to play the bass? I mean, bass techniques or he was just starting and you needed to teach him basic guitar techniques? You know, I have recently started playing tennis after about 15 years (I used to play a bit in highschool, just for fun) and I went to buy a racket. I was feeling uncomfortable a bit playing it and I asked a teacher on the tennis court if I can do anything with my racket to feel stronger: yes, buy an other one, this one is for 7-8 years old children…

Damn, and I picked it up because it was light! When you don’t have proper guidance, everything works right? So what’s a bass? Just an other guitar :-)

He’s just starting Ovidiu but, he wants to be a bass player. He doesn’t want to use a pick. He wants some bass specific technique, like he doesn’t want to use a pick. I showed him a couple of exercises to start developing some dexterity and we talked a bit about how to think like a bass player.

    Guidance is a good word.

  3. Pat says:

It occurs to me that guitars and tennis rackets are both stringed instruments, and can both be swung. Thus, a tennis racket is just another guitar. Great short on tennis and guidance, O.; my eleven year old violinist is considering taking up tennis, now..

But Jack did you ask him if he’s gay? I am still distinguishable!!

We are pullin’ fer ya, Good show on your first recall as der Meistersinger, no?

    Ungay ugly, Pat
