I was thinking about Alicia Keys, couldn’t help from crying
When she was born in Hell’s Kitchen, I was living down the line
I’m wondering where in the world Alicia Keys could be
I been looking for her even clean through Tennessee.Bob Dylan “Thunder On The Mountain”
Good question Bob, what has Alicia Key been up to?
According to this, she’s been promoting conspiracy theories.
The 27-year-old - sporting a new gold AK-47 pendant “to symbolize strength, power and killing ‘em dead” - told her interviewer she believed Tupac Shakur and Nortorious B.I.G.’s murders were fuelled by the American government.
Keys, who revealed she’s been reading several Black Panther autobiographies, claimed Biggie and Tupac’s famous feud was in fact perpetuated “by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing”.
She continued, “’Gangsta rap’ was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. ‘Gangsta rap’ didn’t exist.”
Just another example of the man keeping us down, man.
Echoes of Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan while, at the same time, Alicia appears to be one of those people that continues to cling to the 2nd amendment.

I’ve heard similar stuff along the lines of ‘the man’ promoting drug use amongst minorities to ‘keep them down’.
Everybody’s gotta find someone else to blame…

from interview: “Sounds like Keys may be hankering to ditch her anodyne pop-soul.” This is the weak mind, strong back argument…
“Claude Brown makes James Baldwin and all that old Rock of Ages rhetoric sound like some kind of Moral Rearmament tourist from Toronto come to visit the poor,” Tom Wolfe wrote in The New York Herald Tribune when the book came out. (http://www.racematters.org/manchildinthepromisedland.htm
Black Panthers? pshaw just another great American Historical Marker on the highway…
Makes an old guy think though, “Am I living my life backwards.” I am pretty sure I won’t be learning any Proverbs from Alicia Keys, aka AK-47, aka same mix — different characters… but then you ask “How do [I] you really feel. Pat?” When you really are asking “Why are you so afraid, Pat?”
And, again Alicia cries all the way to the bank, along with Liberace, Sir Elton John, Yoko ONO… etc.

…Meanwhile, adult movie star Ron Jeremy has accused celebrities of relying on sex tapes to revive their declining careers.
He said: “I love the excuse they use - ‘Oh, I don’t know how they got a hold of it!’
“It’s such a big joke now. Any celebrity that is not doing so good, they jump by having a good sex scandal.”
“Way to hang in there, Ron Jeremy…!”
