My apologies to you J, for taking your words out of context but, I found this juxtaposition to be interesting.
Yesterday, in a comment, J said…
Rollin’ & Tumbling Mr. Muddy Waters has my vote tonight ’cause he’s preaching from the heart.
In his book, “Can’t Be Satisfied: The Life and Times of Muddy Waters”, Robert Gordon said…
”Rollin’ and Tumblin’ ‘is little more than a harmonica, a bass drum in overdrive, an occasionally ferocious slide guitar and the orgiastic humming of several grown men, The sounds are pugilistic and sexual. Someone yelps. Someone else responds. The randomness of the interjections is frightening, the rapid-fire drumming disorienting. Muddy’s slide rings like loose spokes on an iron wheel, haywire. The harp is hypnotic. Chant and hum, chant and hum. Violence hangs everywhere, the sex heated and raw.”

“Anything you say can and will be used against you on a slow day.” Chap.7 paragraph 19 of the official rulebook.
A little help here J, I have a new song I’ve been messing with and I’ve been trying to get it to sound more pugilistic. I’m able to get it it sounding somewhat pugilistic but, not quite enough. In your opinion, is this a slew rate issue?

I am thinking you can re-view the first Rocky… maybe a little pugilism soundtrack could help spring loose that ire. Or how about the micro seconds after a knock-out punch to the chops in a UFC bout, tracing in super slow motion film and audio, loss of cognitive thinking as the brain washes back and forth like an out-of-balance heavy loaded washing machine? That might create some unique simulated pathology often found when a probe is in a hippocampi of the temporal lobe of epilepsy patients. Then your maximum output is easily measured from awake to not awake, if feedback is considered or not considered… pugilistic-ally speaking that is.
What was the question?

Aside from the face validity issues, I think your tonal variance is not significant. Try adding secondary dominants on the offbeats. And hire a reggae drummer.
