Turns out to be British 18th century Snob-latin:

yob (yb)
n. Chiefly British Slang
A rowdy, aggressive, or violent young man.
[Alteration of boy (spelled backward).]
Yob may refer to:
    * Yobbo (also Yob), slang term for an uncouth blue collar individual or thug
    * Yob (band), a doom metal band from Eugene, Oregon
    * Yob (song) a song by Australian band TISM
    * Yob (artist), Chicago based stencil artist

:the antithesis of what a good boy should be - rude, obnoxious, violent and stupid. Formed by spelling 'boy' bacwards, it was coined in England in the 18th century as it was very popular amongst upperclasses to speak backwards at the time.

Have you seen that boy? He's a yob

yob chav thug hooligan bogan bully hoodie idiot lout punk townie yobbo yobs ... Boy can that guy yob! He just kept going and going! ...

Well, you can cry me a river, 'cause I used to walk in the shade(with my blues on parade).

I don't think it's that expensive to set up a home lab; --try http://shutterbug.com/techniques/film_processing/0904sb_makinglife/
for sources of chemicals.

Great price for some quality equipment, though. If you made slides and got a slide scanner...bingo! A/D conversion!

Hey, trouble doesn't end there, trouble ain't over. Get you coat, grab your hat... can't you hear a pitter pat, life can be so sweet on the sunny side of the street.

What's Black & White and can't be seen anywhere?

Direct you feet to the photographer: I picked up two Pentax SLR, with telephoto and wide angle, and two Japanese SLR, with all the trimmings for $40. That's right, $4000 in old equipment for $40. Then I shot rolls of pro-400 Kodak to check the light meters, lenses and such. I should have looked before leaping to find a lab that could process Black & White contact sheets. You see I innocently, reiterate innocent, was trying to teach my two last at-home kiddies how to "make photos like Ansel Adams."

Guess what? I can not find a lab. The high schools have removed their old labs and gone digital... even A&M has removed their photo labs for digital. My cans and trays are all long gone. Enlarger is a memory... and so on. I'm eat up and don't even know it.
