d2r2 has left a new comment on your post "The Guitar may be Mightier than the Pen is !!":

Take a careful look at the lead line on this post. Is it true?
Is that why we name our guitars Lucille? I knew it, all of the years of dreaming of relief from the burden of having frets to grab. No need to worry, all of the time spent running our hands up and down the neck was just practice.

Holey moley, Miss Molly, tell Tchaikovsky the news. Roll over Beethoven and watch out for that rock 'n roll pneumonia Little Richard.

"One-guitar, two dog man... that's our Pribek!!"

Yeah, the Tele stuff, Dave had called me one night before this whole thing started and asked me a ton of questions about Teles. It seemed like he was interested in that for some reason. I have owned a lot of different kinds of guitars and, I remember in that phone call going in to depth about the differences. Then, I think he interviewed Larry right before me. Larry is one of those guys that can take all these guitars apart and put them back together. He's the kind of guy you would call if you needed new frets on your vintage guitar. So, he has a history of tinkering.
Even when I had several guitars, I would normally just use one at a particular gig. I don't like switching back and forth for a lot of reasons.
The gigs Larry and I have played together on were a lot of fun. Larry brings a couple of different guitars and runs a stereo amp setup, with a comprehensive pedal board. I'm on the other side with my "rig" which is way simple. But, it's a good combination when we do it and I think it interests Dave that we do what we do with such different approaches. But, I would say that it owes more to the fact that we are both listening and give each other room.

The writer certainly likes run-on sentences.

There's practical reasons for a working musician to have a variety of instruments, from having a variety of sounds for recording to having a deductible investment (assuming your gear is of the class to appreciate) that didn't get mentioned.

<em>Sans Direction's last blog post..<a href='http://sansdirection.blogspot.com/2008/04/beg-for-software-pointers.html' rel="nofollow">Beg for Software Pointers</a></em>
