Are you in the market for a “boutique” guitar amp? Something different, something that allows you to express your character and personality? Something that not just every swinging Richard, toting a gig bag, has in his back line arsenal?
I’ll tell you what, the folks at Radar Music have a knack for running across the unique.
The coconut shell amp.

Sure to be a hit on the tiki torch circuit.
And, the Balven Amp.
Made from an old box that originally contained a nice 12-year-old single malt whisky, the amplifier’s maker declares that “there’s a lot of low-end distortion, but at low volumes the treble is actually quite clear.”

Class A? Class A/B? Neither; single malt.

Looks kind of small; I wonder if they make a bigger model say, a 1.75 liter?

Bigger is not allways better, It’s clearly labeled DoubleWood, what more can you ask for?

Wow, that’s a pretty cool looking guitar Gary. I love old wood. I don’t think I’ve ever played any guitar made of oak. The maker says it’s similar to ash which, is a common guitar wood. I wonder how it sounds.

there’s another uk guitar maker - Fylde - who made some acoustics from similar recycled whisky wood, but they aren’t on their website anymore. there’s a picture here: http://www.guitargal.com/gifs/singleclose.jpg

That’s another eye-catching piece there. Looks like the fretboard is made of the same wood.
