UTRECHT, Netherlands (AP) - Utrecht police say a 21-year-old Dutch man is recovering after a “mooning” that went horribly wrong.
What could possibly go wrong during a “mooning”?
A police statement says the man and two others had run down a street in Utrecht with their pants pulled down in the back “for a joke.”
It says that at one point the 21-year-old “pushed his behind against the window of a restaurant” that broke and resulted in “deep wounds to his derriere.”
“Mooning” is always “for a joke” but, rarely is it funny. This guy though, pressing his butt against a plate glass window and the window breaks; that’s funny! See, I’m relatively sure that these three guys weren’t sober. What are the chances that these guys were walking around Utrecht, just saying no, and come to the conclusion that it would be a good idea to run down the street with their pants pulled down?
So, one of these yobs decides he should press his keister against the window of a restaurant. Think about it, you know how disgusting it looks when someone presses their lips against a window? Imagine sitting there, enjoying a nice plate of smoked eel or Bitterballen and, all the sudden, you look up and see this guy’s gluteus maximus pressed against the glass. You would be doing the wave when window broke even if the guy had “deep wounds to his derriere”.
The statement released Tuesday says police detained the three men after the incident Sunday morning. But the cafe owner decided not to press charges after the men agreed to pay for the broken window.
He’s probably learned his lesson, I guess but, still a yob.

I come back and remember that at some point, like 10 years ago, I think, me and a group of friends decided that the best thing to do at 2 AM was to sing a local dirty version of “What’s” up while walking in the middle of the street. Not very smart, looking back, but of course, WE WEREN’T SOBER and we were 20 years old I guess. Damn, what a relief that we kept our pants on!

Creepy gnome terrorises town
Teenager Jose Alvarez - who filmed the gnome - yesterday told national newspaper El Tribuno that they caught the creature while larking about in their hometown of General Guemes, in the province of Salta, Argentina.
He said: We were chatting about our last fishing trip. It was one in the morning.
I began to film a bit with my mobile phone while the others were chatting and joking.
“Suddenly we heard something - a weird noise as if someone was throwing stones.
“We looked to one side and saw that the grass was moving. To begin with we thought it was a dog but when we saw this gnome-like figure begin to emerge we were really afraid.”
Jose added that other locals had come forward to say they had spotted the gnome.
He said: This is no joke. We are still afraid to go out - just like everyone else in the neighbourhood now.
“One of my friends was so scared after seeing that thing that we had to take him to the hospital.
