Everybody is talking about the New Yorker Magazine cover entitled “The Politics Of Fear”.
Is that offensive?
So often you hear that we are a nation divided, polarized. Breitbart/AFP reports reaction from both campaigns.
First, Barack Obama spokesman, Bill Burton weighs in.
“But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree,”
Next, we will hear from, Tucker Bounds, a spokesman for John McCain.
“We completely agree with the Obama campaign that it is tasteless and offensive,”

I see a good satirical cover poking fun at the fears of some percentage of the nation. It’s rendered in a cartoon style; obviously to be taken tongue-in-cheek. I’m reminded of the great satirist who once wrote a song about mammalian protuberances and barley/malt beverages; the majority of the people who listened never got the point.
