We haven’t had one of these in a while. Maybe the yobs have been laying low.
This particular episode took place in St. Paul, Minnesota.

St. Paul police followed a trail of Cheetos in order to nab three teenagers suspected of burglarizing a vending machine. Officers were called to the Arlington Recreation Center on July 29, where they found a vending machine’s glass had been broken with a chair.
Most of the candy and chips were missing, according to a criminal complaint in Ramsey County District Court.
The officers followed the orange, dusty trail from the rec center, around the side of the building and to a nearby home. Inside, they found numerous vending-sized bags of Cheetos and other snacks.
Police arrested three males aged 17, 18 and 19 who soon arrived at the home by car. The two adults are charged with third-degree burglary, while the 17-year-old is charged with criminal damage to property.
All three denied being involved, the complaint says.
Obviously, these three aren’t seasoned crooks. If they were, they would have known not to even open the Cheetos until they were in a safe, secure location stocked with Handi-Wipes. I guess that’s the sort of thing that can only be learned through experience. The police followed a trail of Cheetos!!?? And then, you’ve got these three yobs sitting around in a pile of Cheetos bags, no doubt they had orange Cheeto smudges all over their shirts and faces and that layer of Cheeto muck that gets all over your hands…and…and, these guys have the nerve to say; “It wasn’t us”!!!???
That’s just beautiful.
By the way, there is all kind of crazy Cheeto related stuff on the web. If you want to take a look at some really esoteric stuff go to the Orange Underground YouTube page. Maybe, the above-mentioned yobs were somehow influenced by this bizarre ad campaign, I don’t know.

The SWAT team burst into the hideout, screaming: “SPPD — Do not Eat the Cat!!!”
[It would seem the teen yobs were influenced initially to rebel by the Pribek.com website.]
