So, there has been this ongoing stuff between the band Oasis and rapper, Jay-Z. I’m
not real sure what it’s all about. Frankly, I’ve been waiting to hear from the bass
player to put it all straight.
Here we have it; from Oasis bassist Gem Archer, found at MTV/UK via The Sun.
“It’s like eight-year-old girls in a schoolyard, running off and writing ditties like that. Grow up!”
He continued to say that rappers like battling, saying:
“But rappers love a ruck. It’s what they do. They set out to have a fight and it’s there in their lyrics. They love biffo.”
Thanks for that, Gem.
I’m pretty sure I understand ruck but biffo has me stumped.

See, I though you might be able to help me out a little here, Kenski.
Is biffo something we should like?

Biffo must be Scouse (Merseyside) or Mancunian for ‘fighting’. Not sure as everything outside London is wilderness to me… (kidding… kinda)
Now, to me it sounds like a cartoon character!

I am guessing this guy is a slap bass player… has to be. Taking care of business, “I pray oh YAWEH, that you send a sighting, so that they know that I am not mentally ill, I am not a false prophet, like those that seek to kill me say I am…”
“OH… alleluja!!”

Sorry All;
I just set out to make good on a promise that I made to myself years ago. 100 paintings in one year. I just made the pact with the Brazos Valley Arts League this Wednesday… If I head start now I might get it done by January 2010.
So it is official. With your encouragement I will get it done. Also, this weekend I am submitting several paintings for a juried Artist’s show and contest. If you didn’t know I paint, I apologize, oil on canvas.
So here is what I expect from you songwriters — minimum a song a week… all right?
The post above I meant to put in the UFO Pribek post, and in the “False Prophet” by Billy Dees… shows how excited I am these days… like a “school girl wearing lipstick to for the first time….” errr I mean that would be a “vice president candidate wearing lipstick for the first time.” [tee hee hee]
Later, Curmudgeons All… pd
