Hypebot had this one this morning; John Lydon doing a butter ad.

It really doesn’t surprise me that Johnny Rotten would take the money for pimping a dairy product. What is sort of surprising and, only because I remember first hand the way his image was presented initially, that he is now mainstream enough, safe enough or enough of a self parody to be considered as a product spokesman.

As always, press pause on the music player located in the side bar before playing the YouTube and do not feel cheated.

Shades of Monty Python, cool and degrading at the same time. Old John Boy looks healthy in this bump… no? Cheerio.

Tell me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t you see John Cleese do exactly the same commercial, with the being chased by cows and all?

Yes I see John Cleese in this… but then I see Monty Python in almost everything.

Here is a new definition for the continuing inclusion of the word “Brand” …
“Fingerprints have been found on ancient Babylonian clay tablets, seals, and pottery. They have also been found on the walls of Egyptian tombs and on Minoan, Greek, and Chinese pottery — as well as on bricks and tiles in Babylon and Rome. …on some pottery, fingerprints were impressed so deeply that they were likely intended to serve as the equivalent of a brand label.” [wiki] (http://cabinet-of-wonders.blogspot.com/2008/10/rule-of-thumb.html)
