A few have asked. It all started back in April with this post about the village of Lunt, where some vandals were taking liberties with the road signs.

Martyn Ball, a retired police officer and prospective Conservative councillor, is urging residents to support the move because he is fed up with the graffiti which greets visitors to the village.

He said: “We are all painfully aware of the repeated times our village sign is defaced by mindless yobs who change the L to a C.

“Drive in every day and you see a very offensive word.”

And, pretty soon the word “yob” and the phrase “mindless yob” started showing up in the comments and other posts and we were all having so much fun with it that I decided to make it a regular feature.

So, sorry about the trouble in Lunt, Martyn Ball but, we thank you Sir for introducing us to mindless yobs.

  1. Didn’t I see a comment somewhere that Gary, or Sans, was going to write a limerick about that Lunt business?

  2. Pribek says:

yeah, somebody said something about that somewhere…

There was a young lady from Lunt..

    almost writes itself, no?
