I would like to point out a trend. This top ten grouping represents a major demographic paring of price indexes, if you see it don’t shout out just yet. Because it is so important these days to get all the acronyms correct upfront.
Now in the category of added value tickets: “These don’t include resold or scalped tickets.”
Rather these are “citing figures based on average re-sale ticket pricing from Ticketmaster Entertainment. (Entertainment Weekly and partners)”
So there are some people in middle America who will still pay a fair price for a fair value they seek.
It seems likely, Madonna, Elton, Tina Turner, and Police represent a major fan group of LGBs, or “LGBs that have been fitted with strap-on rocket motors to increase their range; one such weapon is the USAF AGM-123 Skipper.” We will throw these four out as it includes the top [Madge] and last [Police], and two precariously odd entries… and besides that is what we do with averages anyway, throw some out.
In other words those four are the Smart Bombs… appealing to Lesbian\Gay\Bisex patrons of music shows, who still are willing to pay full price, while charging full price. Those four are most impersonated, and to some degree akin to Pharaohs of Egypt. At some level notoriety supplants gender, reality, spirituality, eventuality, mortality and virtuosity.
May I get real… and pick the other six: and I will put them in groups
1 — Neil, Bruce, Celine…. are BO [before Obama], 2.40+2.35+2.17 / 3 = 2.31 ticket price index for BO
2 — AC\DC and Eagles… BR [Before Reagan], 2.79+2.63 / 2 = 2.71 for BR
3 — Coldplay… DOA [During Obama and After], = 2.17 for DOA (I searched for more indexes for the DOA group but didn’t find any… so it is low due to lack of info)
Thus, LGBs have forfeited some avante garde to re-address certain nostalgia’s, as indicated in the BR average ticket price index of 2.71 .
Baby Boomer neo-Baptists have begun figuring out they will never achieve the virtual or otherwise real lifestyle their post WWII parents envisioned for them… and are looking for cheaper entertainment. The BO index slides down and soon away… 2.31 .
That leaves the best for last in the DOA category. This grouping is not jaded, or willing to pay full price… but they are ingenius because of their indigo parentage, who have apprenticed them in the art of Hippie Capitalism. 2.17 or higher… let it cook a while… you’ll see.
So there you have it from the late night desk of MooPig: who just got back from a relaxing concert at the Carriage Inn Assisted living Home’s Concert Hall. There we were treated to the genteel harp of Dan Woods, Martin strumming of EW Bridwell, and 2nd Bass of Reggie Jenkins: re “Stetson Trio.” All free, cordial and good for what ails you. That’s your Report from the Middle, where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and the children are all above average: and ticket price index is about a buck fiddy, with free parking.
Alternatives to blood-thirst of Madge and Elton could be Blood Sport. But tickets are hefty there too…
