“It Serves Me Right to Suffer” by John Lee Hooker. My favorite John Lee stuff is the solo stuff with the electric guitar.

Great clip here with close-ups of his hands. The subtitle get a little interpretative but, hey that’s OK.

  1. I allus’ wondered how to make the junk yard dog sing… there he is chained to the ground on a heavy chain, all day long. Yep, that doctor fohgot to add melted butter to that milk, cream and alcohol.

    Imagine going to Hooker for marriage counseling. What would that be like? He’d take out the guitar and go into that tune.
