“Survival of the fittest”…in other words, when survival is the best one can strive for, “The strong will survive and the weak will fall and perish by the wayside”.

We tout survival. The concept of survival has spawned many successful brands. TV shows, movies etc…

“We survived Bush. You will survive Obama”…a popular Facebook page (134,553 likes · 260,850 talking about this). Survival as political sloganeering.

“We came, we saw, we conquered”…”Divide and conquer”…I’ve never heard anybody utter the words “Survive and conquer”.

Was it really tougher times when folks grew “Victory Gardens”? Was it more innocent times during the “War to end all Wars”?

“Survival Gardens” are growing literally and in popularity in these dangerous times.
