I think mom asked me that very question when I was a kid and did stupid kid stuff. Although, to be precise, the question was, what were you thinking?!

My serious thinking, though, is why doesn’t anyone warn us, when we’re young, that the older you get, the more paperwork you have to deal with? And, what happened to that boast, when computers first came out, that claimed in ten years we’d all be computerized and paperwork would be obsolete?

  2. I think that validates the question… yep.

  3. I feel like after pushing a red button that says Don’t push me!
    ;-)

  4. YIKES Ovid, that is the emergency button for Hyper Drive …. hang on !!!!
To be pushed only when there is no other alternative to solving an emregency — Call us when you land, or if you find work.

I’m thinkin’ I’d like to hear you and Wally jam some time. It sounded like a good time was had by all ;O) Get anywhere on that little chord progression you two cooked up?

    • Pribek says:

You know…I keep playing through that thing…I think it should be an instrumental.

      • Linda says:

Yeah, me too. Wally taught me the basics of it. I dinked around while he tried to copy some of the riffs you played with it so I’d get a feel for where y’all were headed with it. Definitely an instrumental, IMHO :-D Found a guitar at a call I went to last night so I played the chords for a co-worker who’s also a musician (I always have a pick in my pocket just in case I run across any stray guitars) and he liked the sound of it. It’s stuck in my head, though. I want to try it on my 12-string; see how the chords sound then. Haven’t had a chance to do that yet and I can’t decided if it’ll be too much or not.

  8. Pribek says:

I love the phrase “stray guitars”…could be an album title.
    12 string, too much?
    No way! More is more…

  9. Linda says:

Ah, I don’t know. Sometimes it seems the 12 is just too much: too full, too rich, too noisy–something. Or maybe it’s just that I’m not as good on it as I should be. I messed around with that little chord song (you guys have got to give that thing a name soon!) on the 12 today before I came to work. Right now, I’m reserving judgement. There are some tunes that I just prefer on a 6 rather than on the 12. Go figure :O) I can’t explain it–almost all of my musical knowledge is self-taught; hell, Wally’s still teaching me the names of chords that I’ve been playing for years and didn’t know they had names!–so I don’t have the words for it.

So cut another album, name it ‘Stray Guitars’ –put the little chord song on it as the title track–and dedicate it to me ;-D I seem to come across guitars in out-of-the-way locations all the time and have a bad habit of picking them up to noodle around a little. I love guitars: the look, the feel, the sound. I can’t keep my hands off ‘em, have collected a couple of strays over the years and finally gave up on teaching myself to leave ‘em alone.

Now, I just make sure I always have a pick handy :-D

  10. LInda says:

OK, you were right. It’s killer on the 12 :-D
