Branding; it can be a long and involved process. One aspect is, building trust. You want the hunyaks to trust your brand.

What do you do when, for whatever reason, the trust in your brand is a thing of the past? When your brand name is truly in the toilet; it’s time to Re-Brand! From RTT News

Sunday, beleaguered insurer American International Group, Inc., in a re-branding exercise, had decided to replace the AIG sign, outside the entrance to its premises, with AIU Holdings Ltd…

…AIG carried the American International name only since 1967, when the new company was incorporated to hold the shares of the group’s growing insurance operations.

I was thinking about this it made me wonder what is going to happen with this, otherwise, perfectly good, snappy, jazzy, edgy, hip logo?

Is it up for grabs?

I don’t have any toxic assets…you?

Think about this…The American International Group…that’s a band name waiting to happen.

With all of the musician types and marketing minds we got hanging around here, we should be able to find a way to capitalize on this golden opportunity. We could easily make it a truly International Group as well.

I propose we pool or resources, you know the old “this guy has an SM58, this guy has experience putting together Power Point Presentations, this guy has a van” deal and, we scarf up this already familiar logo and get some T-Shirts and stickers printed. Put together a MySpace and hit the road in time for the Summer festival circuit.
