“Like A Rolling Stone” by Bob Dylan.

This is sort of interesting. It’s The Band backing Bobby here but, before the band was The Band, they were Ronnie Hawkins and The Hawks. Then, they were Levon and The Hawks. But, Levon Helm, at some point, didn’t see big things around the corner and split for Arkansas to drive a tractor or a bean truck or something. So, they were just The Hawks. Then, Dylan started hiring the guys to back him and…at some point Levon must have seen some upside and he got back on board. Anyway, this is from ‘66 and I’m pretty sure that the fresh faced lad playing drums ain’t Levon so it must have been when he was on hiatus.

As always, feed and water your chrome horse then click pause on the music player located in the side bar before playing the YouTube.

Bob Dylan may be the voice of your next G.P.S. From the NY Times

“I’m talking to a couple of car companies about being the voice of their G.P.S. system.” He joked that his instructions might not be the most reliable: “Left at the next street. No, right. You know what? Just go straight. I probably shouldn’t do it because whichever way I go, I always end up at one place — on Lonely Avenue.” He added: “Luckily I’m not totally alone. Ray Charles beat me there.”

“Lonely Avenue”…good one Bob. He’s such a card.

Here’s the kind of thing I’m hoping for…
