What’s that you say? Steve can SHRED!
No doubt about it but, the FNCMFPECDAA wants to know…
Steve Morse or Steve Vai?

OK, this one has come before the Board of Trustees at FNCMFPECDAA L.L.C. a couple of times now.
Without further ado…
Jeff Beck or Tommy Bolin?
The terms “Jazz Rock” and “Fusion” were always loose ones. And, depending on what side of the fuzz pedal you’re on, they seemed to have evolved in to either “Smooth Jazz” or “Jam Band”.
But, there was no doubt that some of the music by the above mentioned fell clearly in to what was called “Jazz Rock” or “Fusion”. It’s also real easy to make the case that these two were legit “rock guys”.
I’ve been trying to think of more rock guys that made a jazzward jump. I’m not talking about a track or two, at least one full album. Rock guys have gone blues but, who are some other rock guys that have contracted the jazz virus?
