Last week, I was driving home, late at night, after a gig. I was listening to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. One of the callers on the show told a story that caught my attention.
It intrigued me, not only because it was such an incredible story but, also because Russell sounded sincere and intelligent. It stuck in my mind enough that I wrote a post about it the next day called, “Operation Black Umbrella”, in which I said…

So last night, this guy calls in, talks in a thick Irish brogue and he’s saying that he was part of some Governmental, Military, experimental, scientific program, designed to build better soldiers, in which they were dabbling around with splicing human genes with those of various animals. He says it was called “Operation Black Umbrella”. This guy said, that he was contacted, at the age of 18, by some shadowy figure and told that he was part of the top-secret program. He was told that his genes were spliced with some from some kind of wildcat.

This guy says he loves eating raw meat, stays up all night, has to control instinctual predator behavior and that his skeletal structure resembles that of a cat and…he’s got x-rays to prove it.

This morning, Russell, the caller from Kentucky, left a comment on the post to let people know that he has started a website. So, I contacted him and asked him if would be willing to answer some questions from me to which he obliged without hesitation.

A couple of things first though. I encourage you to visit Russell’s site to get more details about the story and see his photos. Also, I want to make it clear that I have absolutely no scientific background or knowledge of chimera research or gene splicing, I’m just curious.

In a nutshell, Russell says he has always had unique physical abilities. He was adopted and both his adoptive parents held government jobs. After high school, Russell claims he was contacted by a man who was connected to the government, who told him that he was part of this Project Black Umbrella. Russell also claims that he has met others who were said to be part of the same project. From Russell’s website.

I went with two friends to Cafe Intermezzo in Atlanta and was approched by a woman who told me “Mr. Spears” was at a booth on the opposite side waiting for me (I had taken the friends cause I assumed there was a 50/50 chance the guy was some wacko) but I left them and sat with this guy. He knew intimate details of my life and things about my parents (who both worked for the FBI by the way…which he said was actually why they were the ones who adopted me) and knew about me being able to move faster, see better, the need for blood, the ability to know what people (and animals) were thinking…all of it….he said it was because I was a “vampire”…and went on to explain what that meant… and that they (the government) had been keeping tabs on me all this time as I went through this “puberty” period of changing and gaining these “abilities” in the hopes that I would work for them…

Also, I have actually met others who are the same…all the abilities….everything. They were all approached in much the same manner I was, not all by the same guy but same scenario…and were actually given my name (and sometimes I was given there names) through correspondence urging us to meet each other.

Russell also has questioned this story himself.

but if it isn’t some sort of cross breed like they said…if what he said is a lie what is the cause of all these abilities? And what was this man’s purpose in telling me all this?

A couple of the others who I have met don’t think this has anything to do with a genetic crossover like these people described to us, they think we are just genetic evolutions or mutations (depending on whether the glass is half full or half empty I guess) and that these people have some other motive for contacting us…me, I’m just not sure, I mean I KNOW that I am way different than the average joe

What follows are the questions that I sent Russell this afternoon and his responses.

When I heard you on the George Noory show, you were using an Irish accent. I assumed, at the time that you were doing this to protect your identity. Yet, on your website, you have published photos of yourself. So, is this a change of heart, are you ready to go public with your identity?

A: When I called in it was sort of an impulse decision…I just disguised my identity because I hadn’t decided if I needed to or not and well, better safe than sorry. After I thought about it though if I believe the government has the technology to do the things that I have experienced then I’m sure finding me isn’t going to be foiled by my bad Irish accent. In truth, they have never lost me…although I HAVE been living so much under that radar that I doubt they expected or were prepared for this. Either way, now that I’ve opened the box it’s my feeling that the more public I am, the more people will notice if something does happen. I think right now they are taking the “who will believe you anyways” approach.

The man that contacted you in person, in Atlanta; Is this the only time you have been in contact with him?

A: In person…yes. I spoke with him on the phone after our initial meeting twice. I have also spoken with others claiming to be part of this project. I am not naive enough to believe they gave me real names, or sometimes the real story for that matter.

Did you notice that you were “different” before this meeting?

A: Yes, and keeping in mind that I was just barely out of high school when this all happened, I was pretty excited to find out there was an explanation and that I wasn’t just a freak. I was pretty much the all-American kid in school and set records in Level 1 elite gymnastics, soccer, track & field, martial arts…well everything I tried…and whether you believe this or not, I hated every minute of it. My parents pushed pretty hard on a lot of it…and I liked making them happy, but it bored me (I am an arts guy for better or worse) and I knew that what I was doing wasn’t fair.

Have you been contacted by anybody from the government since the George Noory show?
A: No.

Do you know what government agency or agencies are behind Project Black Umbrella?

A: I asked and was told repeatedly it was a collaboration….and that’s all he would say.

Have you been offered any assistance from the government, financial, medical, counseling?

A: I was offered the moon…if I would work for them. No play, no pay…and I don’t like the idea of being an expendable piece of property. But the truth is, this is the reason I have been skeptical about the story, not about being the way I am, but the who what when where why they gave me as an explanation…it just seems to me that if they made me, they would have kept me and brainwashed me my whole life or something. I don’t know…maybe it doesn’t make sense, maybe if even half of us said yes to them that would be enough to do whatever it is they needed to accomplish. I don’t think they were worried about exposure on any level that would implicate them in this. Though my parents both worked for the FBI and retired from Central Office DOJ headquarters in DC, I don’t think they had any prior knowledge of all this…I think they were just happy to have gotten moved up on the adoption waiting list. I have asked them both, and they both deny knowing anything. Maybe I’m in denial but damn they were good parents and I love them and if they did know I think it’s an issue I’m not going to push. I DO think it was an easy way to keep up with me through the years (I know I’m getting off the subject, sorry). It’s possible that they kept tabs on all of us through the years because we have these genetic mutations or evolutions through natural or some other means and wanted to make sure if we worked for anybody we worked for them. I am hoping to get some answers of my own by going public with this.

Do you have an open channel to contact a specific person in the government?

A: Yes

How many other people, have you been in contact with, that were told that they were a part of the Black Umbrella Project?

A: Four…and I am still in contact with two.

On your site, you say that you have been hunting with other Black Umbrella Project “‘members’ and, using nothing but our bare hands, (and sometimes a hunting knife), we are able to catch and kill deer and other small game using speed and stealth that are unique to those who are engineered in this manner” and also describe further your unique physical abilities such as superior hearing and night vision. Have any of these abilities been measured and do you have any data that backs this up?

A: Never been tested in a lab, like for MPH, etc. I can dodge a 90 mph fast ball at night and hunt deer with no gun…is that data? I also have some telekenetic abilities. I’ve never been psychic that I know of. All of this is very easy to prove in person. All of these are abilities the other four I have met possess. Actually one of the guys can move much faster than me….like across the room in the blink of an eye fast. It’s really something to see….he saved me from getting bitten by a snake doing this, so he’s my friend for life haha.

You say that you can communicate with cats, is this through a verbalized sound or, other means?

A: Other means…all mental and body language. It’s hard to explain, I just understand them, and they understand me.

Do you purr or growl?

A: If you rub my tummy, haha. No – I don’t purr or growl.

On the George Noory show, you mentioned that you have x-rays showing your skeletal structure which, you say is similar to a cat’s. Will you be making those x-rays public?

A: I would make them public today if I could get them to scan onto the comuter without it turning into a giant blob, believe me I’ve tried….I’m just not sure who or where to release them that would do anything worthwhile with them. I sent copies to George’s crew a week ago, no word from them though.

Have you undergone D.N.A. testing and, if not, would you be willing to?

A: No, I haven’t…not the kind that would show these irregularities…I never really needed it because I didn’t really plan for this and personally I didn’t want to become a science experiment if it shows what they said it would Yes, I would be happy to have it done

You say that you eat raw meat, how often and what kind?

A: Every day, cow. I mix it up every now and then but I rarely eat anything not formerly an animal.

Have you ever tried cat food?

A: No, but I ate a dog biscuit on a dare once. LOL, I like your style Pribek.

All in all, I think Russell has been very candid and, if anything, I’m definitely more intrigued than I was before this correspondence. Once again, I will urge you to take a look at his site and, he also sent along some links concerning chimeras and DNA research…
