I’ve been working on a duo thing with my old buddy Bill Dees and we are dipping our toes in the water this weekend with a couple of road gigs.

Friday night in York, Nebraska and Saturday in Pella, Iowa.

Bill is a truly one of a kind and he has been putting in some serious work on this little “project”. I’ve been kind of hush hush about it but, it’s real cool.

I’ll let you how it goes and there will be some canned posts until I get back including a deceptively simple cage match.

I wasn’t going to post anything more about Michael Jackson, honestly! But…well…from Breitbart/Canadian Press

Iowa State Fair organizers announced Tuesday that in addition to their annual butter cow statute, there would be one of the pop music icon. Jackson died Thursday at age 50.

Both the butter sculptures will be on display in a 40-degree Fahrenheit cooler throughout the fair from Aug. 13 to 23 in Des Moines.

What better way to pay respects for the newly, dearly departed?

Hunh?

No really…from TMZ

A guy claims a Martha Stewart lounge chair collapsed on him after the front legs collapsed, crushing his right index finger. The tip of his finger allegedly fell beneath a deck and was eventually retrieved by a family member.

Up to this point it sounds like your basic personal injury case with standard damages. But this plaintiff is special, claiming he’s a magician who needs use of his hands — every part of them. He also claims the injury has affected his ability to play the banjo, which is a big part of his act.

But wait, there’s more. He also claims he’s a hand model, and who wants to look at a butchered finger?

That’s like the perfect storm of personal injury, the mother of all meat chart cases. Bad luck for the guy. I mean, he had a pretty good thing going there before losing a finger tip. Who doesn’t want to see a banjo playing magician? And, during hard times with that, there’s always plenty of hand modeling work a guy could pick up on the side (guy is from Iowa).

Good luck Magician/Banjo Player/Hand Model, hope things work out for you.
