The ad biz is scrambling to find new ways to get across in this DVR/Ad Blocker world. A San Diego teacher might have just cracked the code. From CBS.

San Diego teacher Tom Farber is selling advertising on the bottom of math tests.

The ads appear as lines of text – “Braces by Stephen P. Henry D.M.D.,” for example.

Selling ad space on the bottom of tests. Brilliant!

You know, you want to reach the young demographic, especially the ones getting an education for they are the power consumers of tomorrow and lifetime purchasing habits start early. And, the beauty of this scheme is, they have to look. They have to take the test. It’s like an ad with a mandate.

At $10 dollars for a quiz, $20 for a test, and $30 for a final exam, Farber’s ads don’t pay for much- just the cost of printing the tests.

Good idea Farber, don’t price yourself out of the market to begin with. Once these corporate guys see some results they will be coming out of the woodwork and you’ll be able to write your own ticket.

Tom Farber has sold already most of his test page ads right through finals. “Anybody who criticizes this I challenge them to open up their wallets,” he says.

Woah! Settle down man; lighten up a little. I’m not criticizing. I’m with you on this Bro!

I’m thinking you could hit a home run with the Trojan Condom folks; pay for the whole year’s printing costs on a couple of quizzes.
