Trouble just seems to follow some people around. Things are getting worse for our favorite Supermodel.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been banned from flying with British Airways after she was escorted off a flight last week and arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer, media reports said on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old, released on bail pending an investigation into the incident, said she hoped the row with the airline could be resolved “amicably.”

Campbell’s spokeswoman in London added: “Naomi has been flying with British Airways for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably.”

British police are investigating the disturbance last Thursday at London Heathrow’s new Terminal 5.

Campbell was on a British Airways flight due to depart for Los Angeles when one of two bags she had checked in went missing, according to her spokeswoman.

That’s pretty irritating when they lose one of your bags. Poor girl, I don’t blame her for losing her cool and assaulting a police officer. She is a Supermodel though, and that means she is just going to have to fly. Supermodel’s are part of the Jet Set, you know?

I’m guessing that being a “Supermodel” is a lot harder than a lot of people think. There’s got to be a lot of pressure. Sometimes it gets so bad that a “Supermodel” looses her cool.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been removed by police from a BA flight at Heathrow.

Passengers reported that she was aggressive and abusive to staff.

Campbell, 37, is known for her fiery temper but has recently been trying to change her image.

A Heathrow spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a passenger was removed by police from a BA flight this afternoon.”

Last year, the Streatham-born model had to mop floors at New York’s Sanitation Department as a community service punishment for throwing a mobile phone at her maid.

I know you are all bored into a stupor with the stuff I write about Hugo Chavez. But, the wacky dictator/folk singer/talk show host/tyrant just keeps going and going with his zany antics.

More than 80 performers and other celebrities have signed a statement supporting Grammy-winning Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz after two Venezuelan concerts were canceled because of his criticism of Hugo Chavez.

The letter, released Wednesday, was signed by performers including Shakira, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Penelope Cruz and even soccer star David Beckham. It said the signers “believe in a Latin America where we are all free to express our views.”

Sounds reasonable. I wonder where Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte, Naomi Campbell, Kevin Spacey, Sean Penn etc. stand on this one.

Venezuelan organizers last week announced that Sanz’s sold-out Feb. 14 concert in Caracas was canceled because it lacked “the appropriate conditions.” A November concert also was scrapped when officials withdrew permission to use a government auditorium.

Sanz’s criticism of President Hugo Chavez led Venezuelan officials to declare he is not welcome in the country—though ticket sales to fans might indicate otherwise.
