A Norwegian reptile incident from Reuters

A man was caught by Norwegian customs carrying a tarantula in his bag, and a further 14 royal pythons and 10 albino leopard geckos taped to his body, media reported Monday.

Hmmm…Just how did the crack Norwegian customs officers come to suspect the reptile offender?

“Customs officers quickly realized the man was smuggling animals, because his whole body was in constant motion,”

14 of these…

…plus, 10 of these…

…strapped to your body…yup, that could make a fellow a might fidgety.

I found it a bit odd that the guy was only fined 12,500 Norwegian crowns ($2,256) but, I defer to the Norwegians as they are known for their practical judgment.

Dave Mustaine is torqued off. He gave an interview to a Norwegian outfit, Lydverket, and he didn’t like the finished product. My guess is that the piece focused on his Metallica experience rather than his new record. From Blabbermouth

In a post on MEGADETH’s official forum from early this morning (Friday, October 16), Mustaine writes regarding the Lydverket interview, “These people are scum. Don’t listen to their interviews, don’t buy their shit magazine, don’t go to their pathetic garbage website. And stand by, because as soon as I see that interviewer again, I am going to put him in a hospital. [Note: The Lydverket interview was actually conducted by a female reporter, Kristin Winsents, who is said to be one of the most experienced music journalists in Norway. — Ed.] That is a promise. I will find him too.

Anyway, here’s the clip.

Click pause on the music player located in the side bar before playing the video.

Interesting; Dave doesn’t like Lars, James is a dog kicker and just because you are a Christian doesn’t mean you have to be a pussy. Pretty juicy stuff there. Probably stuff that inquiring Norwegians want to know. I mean, if you’re tossing that kind of stuff around, you have to expect that an experience Norwegian music journalist will be all over it.

OK kids, which of the following has not won a Nobel Peace Prize?

Mahatma Gandhi…

mahatmagandhi

…or…

obama1

Barack Obama?

Oddly enough, the committee of Norwegians that select the winner, never did pull the trigger on Gandhi yet they have recognized Barry for his peace prowess even though the deadline for nominations for the prize was Feb. 1; two weeks after Obama took office…and a good half a year before the beer summit.

Go figure.
