Besides, I’m pretty sure they don’t carry it at the Joe Bald Store. And really, I don’t think I’ve ever read an issue, even at the doctor’s office. Not being snobby because I have read some Vanity Fair articles, interviews and such. But, I’ve always just guessed that it isn’t my cup of meat, if you know what I’m saying.

The editor’s of Vanity Fair have compiled their list of the top 25 songs.
That’s it, no qualifier, top 25 songs. Now, it wouldn’t match up with my personal list of top 25 songs; if I had a list. Or, be the top 25 played songs on my iPod; if I had an iPod. But, it’s a pretty good song list.

Day Tripper (Beatles) 1965
Fly Me to the Moon (Sinatra) 1964
Satisfaction (The Rolling Stones) 1965
Fever (Peggy Lee) 1958
Take the A Train (Duke Ellington) 1941
The Tears of a Clown (Smokey Robinson and the Miracles) 1967
God Only Knows (Beach Boys) 1966
Goldfinger (Shirley Bassey) 1964
Moonlight Serenade (Glenn Miller) 1939
Walk on By (Dionne Warwick) 1964
Mr. Paganini (Ella Fitzgerald) 1936
Body and Soul (Coleman Hawkins) 1939
Free Man in Paris (Joni Mitchell) 1974
Blue Moon (Elvis Presley) 1956
The Beat (Elvis Costello) 1978
Respect (Aretha Franklin) 1967
Superstition (Stevie Wonder) 1972
The Message (Grandmaster Flash) 1982
My Favorite Things (John Coltrane) 1960
Take Five (The Dave Brubeck Quartet) 1959
Mrs. Robinson (Simon & Garfunkel) 1968
Stormy Weather (Sarah Vaughan) 1960
Sing Sing Sing (Benny Goodman) 1936
Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin) 1971
My Girl (The Temptations) 1964

The obvious criticism most are pointing out is the fact that there aren’t any new songs on there. The newest song on there is pretty old. I’ll say this though; if any one of those songs came on the radio, while I was driving, I would listen to it way before that Kid Rock thing or “I Kissed A Girl”.
