Bob and Laura Stilson (Stilson Photography) put that together. Not only is it the epic poster it was the all-time epic photo shoot.
Laura also designed my Official Logo.
I got to start finding some ways to use that.
Today is the unhappiest day of the year according to a formula devised by a psychologist. According to this article, the factors contributing to this include weather, unpaid Christmas bills, and broken New Year’s resolutions. Sort of a depression solstice.
There may be something to this idea but it seems like making an issue of might make it worse. Kind of like the idea that people act strange on a full moon. I’ve played in bars long enough to verify that people do get crazy during the full moon but I think it’s partially because of the mythology behind it.
I spent the afternoon with Bob and Laura Stilson. They are the ones who designed the very entertaining gig poster that is in the gallery. I really enjoy spending time with them. They are energetic and creative. I always feel inspired after visiting with them. Laura has been working on the artwork for our press pack. By the way their son Tom, who is a great guy also, is attending Stanford and is pitcher on the baseball team.
