“Tombstone Blues” by Bob Dylan.

I was over at a buddy’s house last night and he got on a Dylan jag for a while. He was playing a bunch of different tracks and one of them was “Tombstone Blues”. It’s been a long time since I heard the thing and he had it cranked pretty good so, I was paying attention.

The whole track just has this mayhem to it. It’s like a boiler that you think is going to explode, go at any time but, it doesn’t. It just rattles and clatters it’s way along defying logic and common sense.

Bloomfield has this real raw tone, amp is just cooking. He plays fills after verses and he sounds like he’s on the edge of his seat. Then he’s full throttle and you think he’s going to take flight but, he always pulls back quick as he got in. It just adds to the overall beautiful insanity.

As always, look out your window and realize that the sun’s not yellow it’s a chicken then, click pause on the music player located in the side bar to your left before playing the YouTube.
